Grade 9 to Grade 8
Recreational Referees who are at least 13 years old and have one season of experience (10 games as center referee) working games should bridge to U.S. Soccer Grade 8 Referee to continue their growth in the program and to be able to work a wider variety of games.
To encourage this continued growth, Colorado Referee Administration provides a course specifically for those Grade 9 Referees who are ready to take this next step. The U.S. Soccer Grade 9 to Grade 8 Referee Bridge Course is designed to help transition from the small-sided youth recreational game to competitive youth and adult games.
This online learning course combined with the referee's on-field experience and Referee Continuing Education opportunities provides the necessary tools to create a smooth transition from small-sided games to full-sided games.
