Words cannot express the sorrow our office feels today after the loss of one of our very own. Shortly before 7:00 PM May 10, 2018, Allan James, CFO of Colorado Soccer Association passed away after fighting a battle with cancer. His body is finally at peace. Although Allan left this world, he did not leave our hearts and minds; he will be missed terribly by all of us.

Allan, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, was the backbone of CSA’s business operations for 25 years, this July. He knew the ins and outs of the daily operations of CSA, and his knowledge of the Association’s history made him a key decision maker in the association. Not only did Allan serve as the CFO, but he also handled many other aspects of CSA, including, but not limited to: risk management, insurance, human resources, grants…. Etc. He is irreplaceable, and it will be difficult to move on without him.

Before Allan passed, he requested that in lieu of flowers, his friends, family and colleagues give toward a scholarship fund to be used to help high school seniors go to college. An annual golf tournament in his honor will be initiated as well. Money raised from the golf tournament will go toward the same cause.
